About Us
Our Story
Chris Birkett is a multi-talented, award winning producer,
singer/songwriter, composer, multi-instrumentalist. He produced Sinead O'Connor's Nothing Compares 2 U and the last 5 albums for Buffy Sainte-Marie along with top artists such as Steve Earle, Mel Brooks and more.
Shari Tallon is a multi-instrumental: flute, tin whistle, keys, singer/songwriter and and an International Recording Artist with her Children's Music and Teacher Resources.
Chris and Shari have been playing, writing, and recording together since 2015.
They have many more releases coming soon.
What Inspires Us
Listening to great musicians and bands is a great start. Artists use this beautiful art form of music to express ideas perceived both in the world and personally. An idea becomes a melody, a lyric, a song and then begins the process of recording and creating layers of musical colors, textures, and arrangements that are expressive and beautiful.

The Free Spirits blend world music, acoustic ballads, pop love songs with rock overtones and beautifully crafted arrangements for all ages. Their lyrics are inspiring with a feel good quality, touching on both self-reflective and current social issues.
